Joe Pulsifer has spent his entire life performing and teaching music. As an army bandleader in the late 1940s, he and his big bands entertained US troops stationed in Japan, and upon returning home, he studied at Boston's Schillinger House, the fledgling institution that would become Berklee School of Music. Joe eventually became the head of Berklee's piano department, before founding his own music school in Newton Centre.

Throughout his long career as an educator, Joe has maintained an equally active career as a performer, over the years working with stars like Bob Hope, Jimmy Durante, and Bobby Vinton. In addition to his current teaching schedule in his studio, Joe is the house pianist at Charles River Country Club and Wellesley Country Club.
